design and implementation of an end-to-end agent chain between Atlassian Rovo, Jira, and GitLab Duo
development of an intake agent that receives Jira stories and retrieves relevant context from the repository and documentation
development of a specification agent to transform user stories into technical specifications
generation of information about affected components, interfaces, data models, and test cases
development of an implementation agent that creates a branch, code scaffold, and initial tests
automated triggering of GitLab pipelines and creation of Merge Requests
generation of implementation summaries and writing statuses back to Jira
design and implementation of LLM workflows including prompt design, context provisioning, and tool calling
integration and utilization of MCP in agentic workflows
configuration of GitLab CI/CD, runners, API, and webhooks for AI-driven development processes
implementation of security guardrails including service accounts, scoped tokens, and protected branches
ensuring mandatory code review and audit trail for AI-generated code
design of a scalable solution for other development teams and projects
preparation of a demo scenario, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer

Project requirements

min. 5 years of project experience in DevOps / Software Engineering / AI Engineering
experience with:
- GitLab – advanced knowledge
- GitLab CI/CD
- GitLab runners
- GitLab API and webhooks
- GitLab permission model
- GitLab Duo – Chat, Code Suggestions, Agentic/Duo Workflows
- Jira and Confluence
- LLM integrations
- prompt design
- context provisioning

- MCP
- Python, TypeScript or Java
- secure coding
- AI-generated code review
experience with designing and implementing agentic AI workflows
ability to connect AI agents with development and CI/CD processes
good knowledge of Git workflows, branches, Merge Requests, and code review
knowledge of secure use of service accounts, tokens, and secrets
ability to design scalable solutions, not just quick prototypes
English at a communicative level (spoken and written)
advantageous experiences with:
- Atlassian Rovo
- multi-agent architectures
- AI-assisted software development
- Kubernetes or cloud-native environments
- software supply chain security
- automation of Jira/Confluence processes
autonomy and ownership
analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset
