Project description
- development of an AI product that derives decisions, commitments, and facts from team communication and knowledge, usable for further work
- addressing the reliability and trustworthiness of AI outputs for a client in the field of technological product development
- leading the expert direction of the ML/NLP area and collaborating with product management, pilot partners, and application and platform engineers
- processing speech, handwriting, and text, including understanding speakers and combining Czech and English in one conversation
- designing extraction of decisions, commitments, and facts, searching for relevant information and citing sources
- creating evaluation datasets, metrics, and regression tests for making decisions on deploying changes
- selection and development of API and local models considering costs, latency, origin of outputs, and explainability
- delivering work packages from experiment to production, including review, documentation, and handover to other engineers
- external cooperation for 24 months with monthly invoicing based on hours worked
Project requirements
- Required Experience and Knowledge
- at least 3 years of experience with ML/NLP systems in production
- experience in a similar applied ML/NLP or AI role with responsibility for production AI systems from design to operation
- hands-on experience with LLM evaluation, RAG, embeddings, prompt engineering, and model behavior design
- experience in designing datasets, metrics, and evaluations, and making decisions based on measured results
- strong knowledge of Python, the common ML/NLP stack, and SQL
- daily use of AI coding agents and assistants and knowledge of their benefits and limitations
- Other Relevant Experience
- university education in a technical or quantitative field
- Czech and English at a working level
- ability to independently translate an open question through hypothesis and measurement into a concrete decision
- Advantageous
- experience with a US company or product
- production experience with speech recognition, diarization, or speaker identification
- production experience with vision-language models
- knowledge of TypeScript or Go
- experience from a startup or in a founding engineer role
- research experience in NLP or human-AI interaction
