Project description
- preparation and execution of technical hands-on training Databricks on AWS for experienced Data/Platform Engineers and Databricks administrators
- focus on preparing teams for migration from Azure Databricks to AWS and subsequent platform operation
- training in areas of AWS/Databricks architecture, deployment, networking, IAM, security and platform administration
- explanation of key differences between Azure Databricks vs. Databricks on AWS, migration specifics and best practices
- combination of technical explanation, live demos and practical exercises
- preparation of training agenda and materials tailored to the client's environment
- format: approx. 3-4x per week 4-hour sessions for different teams
- tech stack / environment: AWS, Databricks, Azure Databricks, IAM, VPC/Networking, S3, Security, Terraform/IaC, DevOps, Monitoring, FinOps
- cooperation on 30-40% part-time (48 to 64 hours per month) ONSITE (Vienna), or by further agreement with the client
- final remuneration depends on candidate's experience and the selection process
Project requirements
- senior hands-on experience with Databricks on AWS
- very good knowledge of AWS – IAM, networking/VPC, S3 and security
- experience with:
- Databricks platform architecture, setup and administration
- Terraform/IaC and DevOps principles
- knowledge of Azure Databricks and the differences between Azure and AWS environments
- ability to:
- conduct technical trainings/workshops, live demos and hands-on exercises
- independently prepare technical content and training agenda
- communicate professionally with experienced technical teams
- active knowledge of English language, written and spoken (min. B2-C1)
- advantageous:
- experience with Azure → AWS / Databricks migration
- AWS / Databricks certifications
- experience with monitoring, FinOps and enterprise Databricks operation
- knowledge of German language
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- client-oriented approach
- independence and proactivity
- ability to explain technical topics clearly
