Project description
- participation in designing the migration of on-prem applications from the telecommunications sector to AWS
- defending designed solutions during technical discussions with relevant application designers
- managing multiple migration projects of on-prem applications to the cloud environment
- responsibility for creating and setting up individual modules and standards in the area of cloud architecture
- providing technical support and mentoring to individual stakeholder teams
- close cooperation with other experts across various departments
- participation in creating documentation for infrastructure and implemented processes
- possible cooperation in full-time or part-time (approx. 70% FTE) full REMOTE, or combined REMOTE / ON-SITE (Bratislava) mode - depending on the candidate's personal preferences
Project requirements
- min. 5 years of experience as a cloud and/or DevOps and/or SRE specialist
- advanced experience with:
- designing/architecting cloud (AWS) solutions
- defending designed solutions during technical discussions with relevant application designers
- microservice architecture and creating automation mechanisms for integrating microservice applications (Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Services - EKS, Elastic Container Service - ECS)
- designing and implementing cloud infrastructure based on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, IAM, VPC)
- migrating on-prem applications to AWS
- experience with:
- implementing and configuring CI/CD processes (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ...)
- automation, automation tools, and IaC (Terraform, Ansible, Elastic stack, Salt-stack, Helm, ...)
- security policies in AWS environment
- creating architectural documentation
- migration planning
- active knowledge of Slovak and/or Czech language and English language (spoken and written)
- advantageous experience with:
- projects in the area of telecommunications and/or corporate projects
- agile SW development methodology (SCRUM, SAFe ...)
- project tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence ...)
- internal training and mentoring
- cost optimization in AWS (FinOps)
- analytical thinking
- problem-solving orientation
- proactive communication
