Project description
- development and maintenance of Big Data applications using Spark and Scala to process large-scale trading data from various stock markets
- processing data from various data sources such as HDFS, HBase/Phoenix and Kafka and storing them efficiently
- analysis and evaluation of trading data including market surveillance and market maker performance
- manage and automate batch flow workflows using Control-M to ensure smooth and timely data processing operations
- creation and optimization of data queries in Zeppelin to support reporting, data analysis and internal communication with various stakeholders
- cooperation takes place in a hybrid mode in the ratio of 3 days a week remote and 2 days commuting to the office in Prague
Project requirements
- experience with Big Data technologies (such as Hadoop or Spark )
- knowledge of Scala (or Java) for development and maintenance of backend applications
- experience with technologies for reading and processing large data sets such as HDFS , HBase/Phoenix and Kafka
- the ability to perform data analysis and business data evaluation, including monitoring alerts
- knowledge of tools such as Control-M or similar for managing and automating batch workflows
- experience with query tools such as Zeppelin for creating data queries and reports
- knowledge of the English language, spoken and written, at a fluent level
