Project description
- development, expansion, and maintenance of complex and business-critical applications for financial markets impacting global trading
- close collaboration with product managers, QA, and infrastructure teams to solve complex performance, memory management, and concurrency issues within robust FX systems
- utilization of modern standards of C++ language, relational databases, high-frequency messaging systems, and Cloud infrastructure
- taking end-to-end ownership of complex functionalities
- active participation in architecture and software design discussions to continuously innovate and challenge established assumptions
- debugging and resolving complex issues, writing efficient code, including performing code reviews and providing constructive feedback to colleagues
- work in a hybrid mode combining remote and onsite collaboration with the necessity to be onsite in Prague 1 to 2 days per week
Project requirements
- advanced experience with:
- development of multithreaded applications in modern C++
- design and development of multi-layer enterprise systems with high-frequency messaging
- complete development lifecycle of at least one large commercial system
- experience with:
- design and integration of relational databases
- writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
- using scripting languages such as Python, Perl, ksh, bash, or sh
- knowledge of:
- standard development and build tools such as GIT, TeamCity, GitLab
- principles of operation and deployment in cloud infrastructure
- advantageous:
- experience with high-frequency trading (HFT) systems or pricing systems development
