Project description
- The project combines classic Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, and data integrations with broader responsibility for requirements analysis, technical design, and end-to-end delivery of data products
- The project also includes the use of agentic AI and MCP in creating tools to accelerate Data Engineering and ETL development
- responsibility for the design, implementation, automation, and operation of data flows and data products across on-premise and cloud environments
- handling the entire data lifecycle – from analysis of requirements and existing data sources, through the design of the data solution, implementation of ETL/ELT processes and integrations, to testing, deployment, and subsequent production support
- utilization of agentic AI and active involvement in creating tools that accelerate and improve ETL/Data Engineering development using AI
- job responsibilities:
- design, implementation, and automation of data flows
- development and management of ETL/ELT processes
- data extraction, processing, cleaning, and transformation
- design and management of data infrastructure in on-premise and cloud environments
- gathering and analysis of user requirements
- design of end-to-end data products – datasets, BI reports, APIs, and visualizations
- analysis of existing ETL processes
- data lineage and impact analysis
- collaboration with Data Architects on data models and infrastructure design
- design, implementation, and monitoring of data flows
- automation of Data Engineering processes
- design and implementation of data integrations via APIs and ETL/ELT
- batch and real-time / streaming data processing
- working with relational and other types of databases
- coordination with Data Analysts, Data Science, and business teams
- testing and coordination of solution deployment to production
- babysitting solutions after production deployment
- performance monitoring and incident resolution
- adherence to security rules when working with sensitive data
- preparation of technical and project documentation
- preparation of materials for stakeholders and decision-making bodies
- utilization of agentic AI in Data Engineering
- collaboration on creating AI tools that accelerate ETL development
- in selected projects, taking on broader responsibility for solution engineering and end-to-end IT delivery
- collaboration possible in a hybrid ON-SITE / REMOTE mode, with a preference for at least 2-3 days per week on-site [Bratislava], the rest remote
- the final remuneration depends on the candidate's experience and the selection process
Project requirements
- min. 3 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering / IT / TELCO
- experience with designing, implementing, and managing data flows
- practical experience with ETL / ELT
- advanced knowledge:
- SQL
- Oracle
- PL/SQL
- experience with:
- relational databases
- data infrastructure in cloud or on-premise environments
- designing scalable data solutions
- batch processing
- real-time / streaming data processing
- data integrations and APIs
- CI/CD principles
- knowledge of:
- data storage and historization principles
- Unix and scripting
- Python
- ability to work with various data types
- at least upper-intermediate knowledge of Python
- experience with agentic AI
- ability to define AI skills
- experience with MCP
- ability to analyze requirements and design technical solutions
- experience with IT project environments
- knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall principles
- ability to communicate and coordinate requirements with business, analytical, and technical teams
- active knowledge of the English language, spoken and written (min. B2)
