Project description
- the project focuses on Data Quality and Data Validation within the modernization of financial data systems and migration from a legacy environment to a new data platform
-
- the main task of the candidate will be the analysis and validation of business logic, validation rules, data attributes, calculations, and transformations to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data
- tasks and responsibilities:
-
- execution of Data Quality and Data Validation activities
- analysis and verification of validation rules and business logic in the legacy and new system
- checking the correctness of data attributes, calculations, and transformation rules
- comparison of data and results between the original and new system (Data Reconciliation)
- identification of data inconsistencies, validation errors, and analysis of their causes
- execution of data checks using SQL, Python, and Azure Databricks
- preparation and execution of test scenarios and documentation of validation results
- collaboration with business and technical teams in resolving data inconsistencies
- cooperation is possible in a hybrid ON-SITE / REMOTE mode, of which at least 2-3 days per week on-site (Bratislava)
- the final remuneration depends on the candidate's experience and the selection process
Project requirements
- min. 2-4 years of project experience in the field of Data Quality / Data Validation
- very good knowledge of SQL and the ability to independently analyze, control, and compare data
- practical experience with Microsoft Azure Databricks
- practical knowledge of Python for data analysis and validation
- experience with the analysis and verification of business logic, validation rules, and data transformations
- ability to validate data attributes, calculations, and identify the causes of data inconsistencies
- strong analytical and logical thinking, independence, and a proactive approach
- ability to collaborate with business and technical teams
- active knowledge of English language spoken and written (min. B2-C1)

- experience with:
- PySpark, Delta Lake, and Databricks notebooks
- Data Reconciliation and comparing data between legacy and new systems

- financial or accounting data, ideally from the Insurance / Reinsurance sector
- Git / Azure DevOps / Jira
- experience with:
- assertiveness, proactivity, and flexibility
- strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- openness to new ideas and changes
- ability to work independently and in a global team
