Project description

participation in the development and deployment of a centrally managed, automated solution for dependency management based on Renovate, scalable to tens of thousands of GitLab repositories
technical implementation of the solution, operational automation, and onboarding new users in tens of thousands of repositories
implementation and deployment of a custom Renovate environment (containers, workflows, task coordination)
implementation of central configuration defaults and repository-specific extension mechanisms
setting up monitoring, logging, alerting, and reporting dashboards (coverage, throughput, error rates)
performance optimization (parallelization, caching, rate limiting, and error handling)
integration of artifact registries and secure credential stores
operational documentation, guides, and support for development teams during rollout
automatic repository discovery and integration via API
possible collaboration in a full REMOTE mode

Project requirements

min. 5 years of experience in the position of cloud and/or DevOps and/or SRE specialist
advanced experience with:
- GitLab CI/CD and GitLab AP
- automation, automation tools, and IaC (OpenTofu, Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Elastic stack, Salt-stack, ...)
- microservice architecture and creation of automation mechanisms for integrating microservice applications (Kubernetes)
- scripting/programming (Bash, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, ...)
- monitoring and observability solutions (New Relic)
experience with:
- secret management (e.g., Vault) and package/container registries
- Renovate
active knowledge of English (spoken and written)
analytical thinking
problem-solving orientation
proactive communication
