Project description

  • requirements analysis and solution design:
    • collecting, evaluating and validating requirements for core commerce system modifications and designing the optimal solution to improve business processes
  • technical design of solutions:
    • preparation of high-level design and cooperation with architects on the creation of detailed technical designs
    • responsibility for preparing project documentation, documents for decision-making bodies and meetings
  • efficiency and planning of activities:
    • Co-responsibility for the design and optimization of core commerce solutions, including product catalog, POS sales applications and sales propositions for telco products and services
    • planning activities, coordinating implementation and ensuring that solutions are in line with business requirements
  • implementation and quality supervision:
    • preparation of regular reports on the status of projects and implementation progress
    • emphasis on maintaining quality and delivery dates
    • supervising the correct deployment of solutions to test/production environments
    • coordination and supervision of the elimination of any errors and incidents after deployment
  • adherence to methodologies:
    • project/agile methodology management
    • active participation in project evaluation and preparation of recommendations for further development (including “lessons learned”)
  • within selected projects, working as a Solution Engineer, coordinating end-to-end IT deliveries and responsible for their implementation
  • close cooperation with a team of test engineers and coordination of testing to ensure the quality of IT solutions
  • cooperation with external suppliers and subcontractors within the project, with internal project team members and their superior management levels, project clients and stakeholders
  • cooperation possible in hybrid ON-SITE / REMOTE mode, of which at least 3 days a week on-site [Bratislava], the rest remote
  • The final remuneration depends on the candidate's experience and the course of the selection process.

Project requirements

  • min. 3 years of project experience as an IT business analyst or ICT analyst in the core commerce domain and/or order management domain, ideally in the field of telecommunications and/or IT and/or finance
  • extensive experience with agile software development methodologies / Scrum
  • advanced knowledge:
    • business processes and products in the telecommunications and/or financial sector
    • understanding the principles of IS integration and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
    • analytical methodologies for IT systems (e.g. UML, BPMN , etc.)
    • application architecture , including databases, business logic, APIs and presentation layer
    • relational databases and SQL
    • IT infrastructure and its components
    • overview of various technologies (APIs, Cloud Native, Microservices, Containerization and CI/CD for scalable and efficient solutions)
    • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams
  • advanced experience with:
    • the IS life cycle , from requirements gathering to production operation
    • IT operations management (deployment planning, roll-out, preparation and management of system migration)
    • programming languages (procedural, object-oriented)
    • incident management (incident management in production operations, defect management, prioritization and deployment of fixes)
    • team tools like JIRA for task and project management
  • ability to independently manage and lead projects, with an emphasis on meeting time and quality requirements
  • problem solving orientation
  • excellent time management and ability to set priorities
  • attention to detail and focus on continuous process improvement
  • high level of abstraction and quick understanding of the issue
  • active knowledge of English, both spoken and written (min. B2-C1)
  • 2nd degree university education with a technical focus
  • strong organizational, negotiation and analytical skills
  • open to new ideas and visions
  • the ability to respond flexibly and adapt to change
  • flexibility and proactive approach
  • ability to work independently as well as within a global team
