Project description
- the project will be realized within the Group Risk Solutions team, which ensures the development and delivery of modern IT solutions for the area of banking Risk Management across Austria and Central and Eastern European countries
- the project aims to support the delivery of reliable IT solutions that help ensure regulatory compliance, data availability for banking risk management, and the digital transformation of banking processes
- Tasks and responsibilities:
- managing small and medium-sized IT projects and agile deliveries in the area of banking Risk Management
- ensuring end-to-end project management from planning to successful delivery of results
- identifying key stakeholders and defining their roles and responsibilities
- collaborating with Business Owners and Product Owners in defining project scope, schedule, and priorities
- planning and coordinating project activities across business and IT teams
- managing project schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliveries
- ensuring the delivery of project results within the required time, budget, and quality
- creating and updating project plans
- managing the project critical path using the Critical Path Method (CPM)
- planning capacities and resources for individual work packages
- identifying and managing project risks, issues, and dependencies
- managing project scope changes and related Change Management processes
- monitoring project progress and preparing regular reporting
- communicating with senior management, including stakeholders at levels B -1
- coordinating internal and external IT suppliers
- ensuring the fulfillment of agreed-upon outputs by IT solution providers
- supporting agile teams in planning, prioritizing, and executing deliveries
- combining traditional predictive and agile approaches to project management
- facilitating communication between business, IT, and external partners
- resolving escalations, conflicting situations, and ad hoc requests
- identifying obstacles in project execution and proposing corrective actions
- supporting project teams in the role of servant leader and trusted advisor
- collaborating on projects supporting banking Risk Management and regulatory requirements
- actively contributing to the improvement of project and delivery processes
- collaboration in a HYBRID mode (1 day per week on-site, Vienna)
- the final remuneration depends on the candidate's experience and the progress of the selection process
Project requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in end-to-end IT project management
- Practical experience with IT Project Management and IT Delivery Management
- Experience in managing projects in both predictive and agile environments
- Practical knowledge of Scrum / Agile Software Development
- Ability to independently manage small and medium-sized IT projects
- Experience with project planning, schedule and budget management
- Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) and project critical path management
- Experience with planning and coordinating project resources
- Practical experience with Risk & Issue Management
- Experience in managing project changes and dependencies
- Ability to define and control project milestones and deliverables
- Experience with collecting, analyzing, and prioritizing Business Requirements
- Ability to collaborate with Business Owners and Product Owners
- Experience in managing internal and external IT suppliers
- Experience with stakeholder management, including senior management
- Ability to prepare project reporting and present results
- General orientation in banking regulatory requirements
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to handle parallel priorities, pressure, and conflicting situations
- University degree in economics, computer science, or a related technical field
- Certification in Project Management
- Active knowledge of the English language on a professional level, both spoken and written (min. B2+)

- Experience with projects in the field of Banking Risk Management
- Experience in delivering solutions supporting banking regulatory compliance
- Experience with projects in the insurance or telecommunications sector

- Experience with projects within large banking groups
- Knowledge of specific banking regulatory frameworks, e.g., Basel III/IV or CRR/CRD
- Experience with data projects for Risk Management
- Experience with digital transformation of banking processes
- Scrum Master certification
- Product Owner certification
- Experience in the role of Scrum Master or Product Owner
- Knowledge of agile tools and methodologies
- Experience with Jira / Confluence
- Knowledge of MS Project or a similar project planning tool
- PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA certifications
- Experience in coordinating multiple parallel deliveries
- Experience in managing external IT solution providers
- German language
- Knowledge of another Central European language
