Project description

  • the client is carrying out a strategic transformation related to the integration of the complete network portfolio
    • part of the transformation includes internet services built on DOCSIS and GPON, DVB-C cable television, and the migration of hundreds of thousands of customers
    • provisioning of customer orders will be handled by the new Fixed SOM – Service Order Management system
  • cooperation and participation as part of the key team members responsible for the quality of this solution
  • the project is significantly integrative in nature
    • monitoring the complete lifecycle of a customer order across multiple systems, testing REST/SOAP integrations, BPMN processes, and controlling the technical consistency of data processing
  • responsibilities include automated E2E tests, REST/SOAP, Camunda, Kibana, databases, and TestRail
  • tasks and responsibilities:
    • design, implementation, and execution of automated integration and E2E tests
    • testing the entire lifecycle of a customer order
    • testing scenarios for service activation, modification, and termination
    • testing customer migration
    • testing technical interventions
    • testing REST API and SOAP/Web Services integrations
    • validating request/response communication between systems
    • testing error states, timeouts, and retry mechanisms
    • verifying BPMN workflow processes in Camunda
    • testing real customer scenarios
    • analyzing logs through Kibana / Elasticsearch
    • end-to-end tracing of problems using correlation ID
    • analyzing problems in a distributed integration environment
    • checking data consistency in Oracle / PostgreSQL
    • checking order state transitions and audit trail
    • preparation and maintenance of test data
    • cooperation with business analysts and the integration architect in defining E2E scenarios
    • creation of test plans, test cases, and reports in TestRail
    • support for SIT and UAT testing
    • code review of automated tests
  • cooperation in an agile team
     
  • cooperation in a 60% ON-SITE Bratislava regime

Project requirements

  • min. 3 years of experience with system integration and/or integration testing of backend systems
  • strong practical experience with REST API testing
  • experience with SOAP / Web Services testing
  • ability to analyze request/response communication
  • experience with:
    • error states, timeouts, and retry mechanisms
    • Serenity BDD
    • RestAssured
    • Oracle/PLSQL and/or PostgreSQL
  • practical knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, and XPath
  • knowledge of Java
  • practical knowledge of Kibana / Elasticsearch
  • ability to analyze logs and trace communication using correlation ID
  • experience with:
    • Jira
    • TestRail
    • Git
    • Jenkins
    • Swagger
  • analytical thinking and ability to troubleshoot distributed systems
  • ability to work even with incomplete or continuously changing documentation
  • good communication and presentation skills
  • ability to cooperate with BAs, developers, architects, and Operations
     
  • active knowledge of Slovak and English languages (spoken and written)
