Project description

development and support of key backend solutions for a new digital bank with the aim of maintaining its services at a top technological level
working in a small and fully collaborative agile squad, close cooperation with analysts and business during design with an emphasis on proactive risk and weakness resolution
implementation of a robust microservice architecture and design of REST interfaces using technologies such as Java, Spring boot, PostgreSQL, and Kafka
creation of technical documentation in Confluence supported by UML diagrams, performing code reviews, and writing unit tests within 14-day sprints
cooperation on a 2 to 3 days per week basis onsite in Prague, the rest remote within the established core hours from 9 AM to 3 PM

Project requirements

advanced experience with:
- at least 5 years of experience in software development and design at a senior level
- development in the Java environment and using the Spring boot framework
- design and implementation within a microservice architecture
experience with:
- creation and integration of REST interfaces
- database development and working with PostgreSQL
- integration and working with messaging tools, primarily Kafka
- writing unit tests and thorough code reviews
knowledge of:
- technical English for working with documentation and code
advantage:
- interest in DevOps principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, UCD/ArgoCD, K8s)
- working according to agile development methodology and knowledge of related processes
