Project description
- development and support of key backend solutions for a new digital bank with the aim of maintaining its services at a top technological level
- working in a small and fully collaborative agile squad, close cooperation with analysts and business during design with an emphasis on proactive risk and weakness resolution
- implementation of a robust microservice architecture and design of REST interfaces using technologies such as Java, Spring boot, PostgreSQL, and Kafka
- creation of technical documentation in Confluence supported by UML diagrams, performing code reviews, and writing unit tests within 14-day sprints
- cooperation on a 2 to 3 days per week basis onsite in Prague, the rest remote within the established core hours from 9 AM to 3 PM
Project requirements
- advanced experience with:
- at least 5 years of experience in software development and design at a senior level
- development in the Java environment and using the Spring boot framework
- design and implementation within a microservice architecture
- experience with:
- creation and integration of REST interfaces
- database development and working with PostgreSQL
- integration and working with messaging tools, primarily Kafka
- writing unit tests and thorough code reviews
- knowledge of:
- technical English for working with documentation and code
- advantage:
- interest in DevOps principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, UCD/ArgoCD, K8s)
- working according to agile development methodology and knowledge of related processes
