Project description
- collaboration on the modernization of development and deployment of Oracle PL/SQL applications in a regulated banking environment
- focus on the design and implementation of CI/CD and DevOps processes for database development, testing, and deployment
- design of a standardized process from Git workflow and code review to automated testing and deployment of database changes
- integration of existing tools GitHub, JIRA, SonarQube, and GitHub Copilot
- creation of a practical PoC / reference solution that can be used as a blueprint for further Oracle PL/SQL applications
- collaboration with developers, architects, and other stakeholders including workshops and knowledge transfer
- main responsibilities:
- analysis of the current PL/SQL development, testing, and deployment process
- design of the target CI/CD architecture and Git-based development workflow
- design and implementation of automated database deployment and versioning
- implementation of automated testing and quality gates
- integration of GitHub/JIRA/SonarQube into the delivery process
- design and implementation of a PoC / reference CI/CD pipeline
- evaluation of suitable AI/Copilot use cases for development, testing, documentation, and code review
- solution documentation and knowledge transfer to the internal team
Project requirements
- hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- advanced experience with CI/CD and DevOps focusing on database applications
- experience with:
- Git / GitHub workflow, branching, pull requests, and code review
- automated deployment of Oracle database changes
- database migration/versioning tools and principles
- design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines – GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or similar solution
- automated testing of PL/SQL/database applications
- code quality / static analysis tools, ideally SonarQube
- leading technical workshops, documentation, and knowledge transfer
- ability to independently design CI/CD and deployment architecture and create a functional PoC
- active knowledge of English spoken and written (min. B2-C1)
- ability to communicate professionally with management, managers, and experts in individual areas
- advantageous:
- experience from banking or other regulated environments
- practical experience with GitHub Copilot / AI-assisted development
- knowledge of German language
- analytical and systematic thinking
- independence and proactivity
- strong communication and consulting skills
- team player
