Project description

development and modernization of a health-tech platform for expert medical consultations connecting patients with doctors in the USA
close cooperation with the local development team in Prague and with colleagues in the USA on solving real challenges in the e-health sector
development of new functionalities, maintenance, and refactoring of a PHP application using REST API, Docker, Git, and automated testing
design of technical solutions, performing code reviews, and gradual architectural preparation for the transition to microservices and Java / Kotlin technologies
work in a hybrid mode with a ratio of 2 days onsite (offices in Prague – Karlín) and 3 days remote

Project requirements

advanced experience with:
- backend web application development in PHP (at least 5 years of experience)
- development in a PHP framework – Symfony (optionally Laravel, CodeIgniter, or others)
experience with:
- writing Unit and Functional tests
- maintenance and gradual modernization of legacy codebase
advanced knowledge of:
- REST API
knowledge of:
- Git
- Docker
- English language at a very good level for daily communication
advantage:
- Java / Kotlin
- AWS
- microservices
- DDD / Clean Architecture / Hexagonal Architecture
- practical experience with modernizing legacy applications
