Project description
- collaboration on the development of data analytics and reporting solutions within a European project focused on optimizing data flows and business intelligence
- development and management of Power BI dashboards and reports for various management levels with an emphasis on performance, accuracy, and visual clarity
- design and implementation of data models, creation of DAX measures and advanced calculations
- integration of data from the Snowflake system and other sources into the Power BI environment
- query performance optimization and row-level security management
- management and governance of the Power BI Service environment (publication, workspace management, permissions)
- collaboration with a team of data engineers and analysts in the design of ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
- long-term collaboration fully in remote mode within the EU
Project requirements
- Advanced experience with:
- Power BI (min. 5–7 years of experience) – DAX, Power Query (M language), advanced data modeling, performance optimization
- creating complex dashboards and reports
- managing Power BI Service environments and governance settings
- Experience with:
- Snowflake – SQL queries, data model design (star/snowflake schema), integration with BI tools
- Advanced knowledge of:
- data warehousing and data analytics (min. 5 years of experience)
- SQL and principles of dimensional modeling
- ETL/ELT processes
- working with large datasets and query performance optimization
- Advantage:
- experience with BI architecture and data strategy design
- ability to mentor juniors in Power BI and data modeling
- knowledge of Microsoft Fabric – Data Pipelines, Lakehouses, OneLake, Synapse integration
- experience with IBM Cognos – reports, dashboarding, migration to Power BI
- knowledge of Azure (preferred), or other cloud platforms
- knowledge of Jira or Azure DevOps and working in an Agile/Scrum team
