Project description

  • ​​​responsibility for a strategic banking project/program covering the migration of the bank's card system and the building of a new integration platform
  • management of individual streams and tasks within the program/project
  • definition of goals, scope, roles, and responsibilities
  • alignment of project goals with the bank's strategy and stakeholder management
  • definition of resource requirements and management of the availability and allocation of resources – internal and external
  • adherence to the bank's methodology and principles of the agile/hybrid framework for project management
  • preparation of the budget for the assigned part based on requirements and tracking project delivery costs within the budget
  • preparation of a detailed plan for the assigned part of the project, planning key milestones and managing the delivery of projects according to this plan
  • monitoring project performance and providing regular status reports to the project team and key stakeholders
  • managing and adapting to any changes in project scope, schedule, and/or budget
  • identification and mitigation of potential risks
  • management of relationships and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring project delivery to their satisfaction (Stakeholder management)
  • coordination of the entire System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • fulfillment of all necessary requirements within the release management process
  • delivery of individual products/phases of the project during the implementation of a new product and process
  • management of the procurement process for new technologies and services (RFI / RFP)
  • regular reporting at various project levels
  • long-term cooperation within agile international teams
  • possible cooperation in a combined ON-SITE (Bratislava) and REMOTE (approx. 50:50) mode - depending on project needs and candidate's personal preferences

Project requirements

  • min. 5-year project experience in managing complex (integration) projects 
  • knowledge of: 
    • (international) banking environment
    • card systems (Issuer/Acquirer)
    • card platform migrations
    • VISA / Mastercard environments
    • core banking transformations
    • SWIFT or Payments projects
       
  • experience with complex system migrations (ideally in the banking sector)
  • advanced theoretical knowledge and practical experience with agile culture, management styles, and methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe)
  • exceptional communication skills - written and oral (especially in English) and the ability to communicate at multiple levels within the company
  • strong facilitation skills (ability to lead meetings and make consensus decisions and plan together with participants)
  • excellent leadership and mentoring skills (ability to engage other team members in the project and move them forward)
  • understanding of business requirements and needs
  • problem-solving orientation
  • excellent time management
  • attention to detail and orientation towards continuous process improvement
  • ability to manage system analysis and identify dependencies with constant regard to business requirements
     
  • a significant advantage is experience with:
    • projects in the area of payment cards / payment card systems
    • building and delivering cloud solutions
    • projects in the banking sector
       
  • creativity and openness to new ideas and visions
  • ability to react flexibly and adapt to change
