Project description
- Revitalization of key mobile applications within the global digital platform for a logistics leader
- Collaboration on the technical upgrade of six applications to simplify future transitions between Android SDK versions
- Performing build migration from SDK 28/29 to SDK 34+ with regard to long-term code maintainability and compatibility
- Optimization of build processes in the Cloudbees environment and adaptation of the CI/CD pipeline for future versions
- Work in the GitHub environment, version management, and development coordination across repositories
- Utilizing experience with tools like Artifactory, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
- Ensuring application compliance with performance, security, and modern Android standards
- Collaboration takes place only remote
Project requirements
- Advanced experience with:
- React Native – development of production applications, at least 5 years of commercial experience
- SDK upgrade for Android applications built on React Native
- Cloudbees or similar CI tools
- Java and Kotlin in the context of Android development – at least the last 2 years
- Experience with:
- CI/CD pipeline, especially in tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions
- Artifactory, GitHub as a versioning platform
- Advanced knowledge of:
- Android build systems and their configuration for various SDK versions
- debugging and troubleshooting in React Native and Android native parts
- English language at B2 level and higher (daily communication in an international environment)
- Knowledge of:
- principles of build process optimization
- scripting and automation within development tools
- Advantage:
- experience from the environment of enterprise applications in the field of logistics or global teams
- overview of other mobile platforms (iOS) and multi-platform tools
