Project description

independent assessment of the target solution design for a large-scale enterprise program built on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Project Operations, and Sales, supplemented by SharePoint, Power BI, and Fabric
client-side involvement from the real estate development sector, transitioning from the existing Business Central to a solution with Dynamics 365 F&O as the new ERP core
acting as a technical authority on the customer's side with the goal of challenging the system integrator's design, not taking responsibility for creating the target solution design
assessment of the solution design against documented requirements and identification of defects, risks, and areas that need to be addressed before implementation begins
evaluation of the use of standard D365 functionalities versus customizations, including impacts on costs, upgradeability, and long-term maintenance
assessment of the integration design and data migration strategy, with particular emphasis on the transition or potential coexistence of Business Central and F&O
verification of traceability between documented requirements and the proposed solution, and identification of areas where this link is missing
providing technical inputs into the governance framework and distinguishing between a delivery defect and a legitimate change request from an architectural perspective
formulating a substantiated opinion on the solution design's readiness for build, including conditions that must be met before implementation begins
expert and factual challenging of the system integrator's designs at a senior technical level in collaboration with the customer-side Project Manager
part-time collaboration in a hybrid mode onsite (remote by agreement) in Prague, starting September 2026

Project requirements

Required experience and knowledge:
- proven experience as a Solution Architect in implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), Project Operations and Sales
- experience with the entire lifecycle of an enterprise ERP/CRM implementation from an architect's perspective, from analysis and blueprinting through solution design, build and testing to cutover, go-live and stabilization
- practical experience with independent design review and challenging solution designs, not just creating your own design
- experience with traceability between requirements and solution design and the ability to identify discrepancies or missing requirement coverage
- very good knowledge of standard D365 capabilities versus customizations and their impact on costs, upgradeability, and maintenance
- experience with integrations and data migration in the Dynamics 365 environment
- ability to technically challenge an external system integrator and assertively advocate for the correction of identified defects or risks
- ability to maintain a clear boundary between independent design review and the system integrator's responsibility for the solution design itself
- Czech language at a negotiation level
Other relevant experience
- experience with delivery assurance or architectural control of large-scale enterprise implementations
- experience with assessing solution design readiness before the project moves into the build phase
- experience with technical inputs into governance, RACI, and change control processes
Advantageous
- knowledge of Microsoft's Success by Design or Sure Step implementation methodology for enterprise F&O implementations
- practical experience with the transition or coexistence of Business Central and F&O, including data migration, cutover, or parallel operation
- practical knowledge of Project Operations in the context of development or construction projects
- knowledge of Sales or Dataverse
- overlap with SharePoint, Power BI, Fabric, and their connection to D365
- experience in the real estate or development sector
- experience as an independent consultant, delivery assurance, or design reviewer
- experience with turning around a project at risk
