Project description

  • the project will be implemented within the Platform Department, which provides common technological foundations, frameworks, libraries, development tools, and platform services used by hundreds of developers and product teams across the banking group
  • the project also includes improving observability, tracing, developer experience, and overall platform reliability
  • tasks and responsibilities:
    • design, development, and maintenance of backend frameworks and platform services for the digital banking platform
    • development of backend solutions using Kotlin and Spring Boot
    • design and implementation of reusable components, libraries, and common technical solutions
    • development and maintenance of REST API
    • development of internal frameworks and backend architecture
      • design of quality software abstractions and interfaces usable across multiple teams improving developer experience and the efficiency of development teams development and optimization of CI/CD processes, tools, and automation working with Gradle and optimizing build processes improving monitoring, observability, and distributed tracking supporting the stability, reliability, and scalability of platform services collaboration on the development and modernization of backend architecture collaboration with other backend, frontend, mobile, and platform engineering teams design and implementation of technical proof of concept (PoC) solutions identifying opportunities to improve existing frameworks, libraries, and development tools implementation of clean, testable, and maintainable code preparation and maintenance of automated tests participation in code reviews and sharing technical knowledge collaboration in solving complex technical problems supporting the introduction of modern engineering practices and tools collaboration on innovative solutions including the use of AI-assisted development tools
       
  • collaboration is only possible on a full-time basis in a hybrid mode ONSITE min. 3 days a week (Bratislava) + REMOTE (or by agreement with the client)
  • the final remuneration depends on the candidate's experience and the course of the selection process

Project requirements

  • min. 4 years of active experience in backend development
  • very good practical knowledge of Spring Boot
  • practical experience with development in Kotlin
  • experience with designing and implementing REST API
  • practical knowledge of Gradle
  • experience with modern CI/CD processes and automation
  • experience with the design, development and maintenance of backend services
  • good understanding of software architecture and backend component design
  • ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • experience with automated software testing
  • ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical problems
  • experience with collaboration in larger development teams
  • ability to communicate and collaborate across multiple technical teams
  • senior approach to the design and implementation of technical solutions
     
  • active knowledge of the English language spoken and written
     
  • advantageous:
    • knowledge of:
      • Apache Kafka
      • Kubernetes
      • tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
    • practical experience with AWS
    • experience with:
      • development of common backend frameworks and libraries
      • creation of internal development tools
      • Platform Engineering
      • Event-Driven Architecture
        • distributed systems
      • Helm
        • observability tools and distributed tracking design of scalable and highly available backend services optimization of CI/CD pipelines development of internal developer platform solutions AI-assisted development tools and workflows realization of technical PoCs modernization of backend architecture baking or fintech systems development of digital banking platforms working in large international engineering teams
