Project description

  • migration from an older data platform Teradata to a modern cloud solution Google BigQuery
  • cooperation in a small expert team on data migration using AI and modern cloud technologies
  • working with technologies SQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer, Python, Docker and GIT
  • conversion of existing data solutions, ETL processes and transformations according to the prepared procedure
  • analysis, validation, testing and operational integration of migrated datasets over large data volumes
  • possibility of cooperation in the mode of 60 % onsite and 40 % remote

Project requirements

  • advanced experience with:
    • SQL and analysis and validation on large data volumes
    • ETL / ELT processes, data warehouses and data transformations
  • experience with:
    • GIT and code versioning including adherence to software development principles
    • working with development tools and independently solving technical obstacles
  • advanced knowledge of:
    • data warehouses and their architecture (at least 3 years of experience)
  • advantageous:
    • Google BigQuery
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    • Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer
    • Docker
    • Python
    • YAML
    • Teradata
    • experience with data platform or data warehouse migrations
