Project description

design, development, and maintenance of cloud-native software systems and backend services
work for an international client from the pharmaceutical sector in an environment with global collaboration across engineering, product, and delivery teams
development of solutions built on Python and AWS with an emphasis on scalability, security, and reliability
design, implementation, and development of REST API and integration services
utilization of AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, S3, DynamoDB, and other cloud components
design of technical solutions and evaluation of alternatives from the perspective of performance, scalability, and costs
solving technical problems and root cause analysis with the aim of maintaining application availability and performance
code review, unit testing, integration testing, and continuous refactoring of existing solutions
collaboration on CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and automation of application deployments
collaboration in a 100% remote mode from anywhere in the Czech Republic

Project requirements

Required experience and knowledge:
- at least 7 years of hands-on software development experience
- very good practical knowledge of Python
- practical experience with AWS and developing cloud-native applications
- experience with designing and implementing REST API
- experience with HTTP, SQL, and databases
- experience with AWS Lambda and AWS Step Functions
- experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices
- experience with Git, Docker, Infrastructure as Code, and observability
- experience with integration principles like synchronous, asynchronous, or event-driven
- knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms OAuth, JWT, or SAML
- ability to independently design and implement technical solutions while collaborating with engineering, product, and delivery teams
- English at least at a communicative level B2, ideally B2–C1, as daily communication is conducted in English
- possibility to start from 1. 11. 2026
- possibility to work from the territory of the Czech Republic
