Project description
- development of data workflows and integration solutions for bioinformatics and R&D environments
- design, development, and maintenance of production ETL workflows and data processes
- orchestration of ETL workflows using AWS Batch, AWS Step Functions, AWS Lambda, or Airflow
- design and implementation of relational database schemas with a preference for PostgreSQL
- modular development of workflows managed via API and integration with external vendor platforms
- creation of CI/CD workflows, development of containerized applications, and infrastructure as code
- technical collaboration with research and business teams
- six-month assignment with the possibility of extension
- 100% remote cooperation from Czech Republic, Slovakia
Project requirements
- advanced experience with:
- development in Python and OOML for at least 3 years
- design, development, and maintenance of ETL workflows for at least 3 years, ideally with Databricks or cloud-native technologies
- working with ETL orchestrators AWS Batch, AWS Step Functions, AWS Lambda, or Airflow for at least 3 years
- design and implementation of relational database schemas for at least 3 years with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL
- experience with:
- AWS services EC2, Athena, and S3 for at least 2 years
- creating CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions or an equivalent tool for at least 2 years
- developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker or Singularity for at least 2 years
- developing infrastructure as code for at least 2 years
- modular development via REST, GraphQL, or other APIs and integration with external vendor platforms for at least 2 years
- technical collaboration with research and business teams
- knowledge of:
- English for daily work communication
- strong communication, cooperation, and analytical skills
- advantageous:
- at least 1 year of experience with Streamlit, R Shiny, React, or another frontend framework
- at least 1 year of experience in developing computationally intensive HPC analytical modules or data processing tasks
- at least 1 year of experience with Kubernetes or Helm
- at least 1 year of experience with Robot Framework or Selenium
- experience with bioinformatics workflows, ideally for omics data
- experience with non-relational databases, such as Elasticsearch
- experience in creating and troubleshooting libraries and dependencies in C or C++ on Linux, including Maven or Make
