design, creation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines in GitLab
provisioning and management of AWS infrastructure using Terraform
configuration and operation of AWS services IAM, Cognito, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, API Gateway, Kafka/MSK, ALB, and VPN
operation of containerized microservices in AWS
ensuring stable and reliable operation of the payment solution, including on-duty support
automation of deployments and infrastructure processes
application of DevSecOps principles with a focus on the security of cloud infrastructure and deployment processes
collaboration with other DevOps engineers and members of a cross-functional agile team
solving operational and technical problems in a cloud environment
creation and maintenance of technical documentation
collaboration possible in an almost fully 100% REMOTE mode (after the onboarding phase) - according to the freelancer's interest and project possibilities

Project requirements

min. 3-year project experience as a DevOps Engineer/Specialist (ideally in the banking sector)
experience with:
- DevOps principles and practices
- Git and source code management
- building and managing CI/CD pipelines
- AWS cloud
- Infrastructure as Code
- Terraform
- scripting
- containerized microservices
- agile development environment
- Atlassian tools JIRA and Confluence
AI-assisted development
practical knowledge of AWS services, at least IAM, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, and API Gateway
ability to work in a cross-functional agile team
knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Python
English at C1 level (written and spoken)
a big plus: experience with:
- AWS (advanced knowledge)
- Kafka / Amazon MSK
- ALB and VPN
- AWS security and DevSecOps
- production operation of payment or fintech solutions
- advanced automation using Python
problem-solving orientation
