Project description

a unique opportunity to lead comprehensive quality assurance and testing strategy for a cutting-edge Live & VOD streaming platform expanding into European markets
leading an international testing team, setting quality standards, and addressing application stability across the ecosystem of iOS, Android, Web, and Smart TV of various manufacturers and firmware versions
working with testing methodologies, test process architecture, defect management tools, and directing strategies for automated testing
full responsibility for the testing team, including work allocation, workload balancing, onboarding, and team member development
capacity planning against the release calendar, effort estimation, and timely identification of personnel and time risks
planning and overseeing verification cycles across client platforms iOS, Android, Web, and Smart TV
managing the defect lifecycle up to confirmed fix, including coordinating solutions with external suppliers
reporting status, test coverage, and open risks to product owners and program management
creation and management of test strategy and definition of test methodology, including documentation standards, entry, and exit criteria for cycles
strategic management of the direction for automated testing and administration of test management tools
collaboration in a 5-day onsite mode (Prague) during onboarding, and then 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

Project requirements

advanced experience with:
- at least 8 years of experience in software testing
- at least 4 years of leading a testing team and responsibility for its deliverables
- creation and implementation of own test strategy and methodology in a real delivery team
- capacity planning and effort estimation for testing according to the release calendar
- setting up and enforcing processes including defect management, documentation standards, and entry / exit criteria
advanced knowledge of:
- fluent Czech verbally and in writing
- English at a minimum level of C1 for daily team leadership and communication with stakeholders
knowledge of:
- principles and concepts for automated testing at the level of strategic direction and estimation review
- management and coordination of deliveries and defect fixes with external suppliers
advantageous:
- domain experience in video streaming, television broadcasting, or digital media with a focus on Smart TV
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager certification or equivalent
- experience with coordinating multiple external suppliers simultaneously within a single project
- implementation or migration of test management tools (e.g., Jira with Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail)
